Meet our Pedigree Gloucester cattle from the Noent herd, reared for Gloucester Born Beef Limited, a business and brand co-owned with Clifford Freeman of nearby Everes’s Farm

Most of our land is farmed under the Higher Level Countryside Stewardship Scheme and is permanent pasture, from old cider orchards to riverside meadows and a 100 acre tract of ancient Ham meadows.

Gloucester Born Beef strives to create the Country’s finest beef from privately breeding, farming, slaughtering, hanging and butchering the Country’s rarest cattle – The Pedigree Gloucester (Double Grade Gloucester Born Beef). By controlling the whole life cycle from birth to plate, we aim to supply the most tender, tastiest and nutritious beef with the confidence each animal has enjoyed the best possible life. Every carcass and cut carries complete consumer traceability accessed via a unique code. This initiative is the inspiration for the Happerley Farmed project.

Only available in the Severn Vale, this is traditionally farmed local beef for local people – as it always used to be. We can also supply Single Grade Gloucester Beef selected from other Gloucestershire farms, reared, traced and processed to our same strict criteria.

We also rear Pedigree Gloucester Old Spot pigs and Free Range Turkeys.
