The perfect romantic getaway with all the luxury touches

Luxury interior of the Wash House

Originally a wash house, this delightful little dwelling has been converted to offer a secluded space for two with an en-suite wet room including a monsoon shower. Luxury touches include a complimentary welcome basket, tea and coffee facilities, and mini fridge with drinks. Outside, there’s a cute courtyard laid with table and chairs, soft lights, fire basket and outdoor heater.  We can also (at no charge) put up a tent for two in the courtyard for young children to enjoy their own camping adventure.

A passion for food

Food is our passion, and we love to engage and excite guests with a range of unforgettable seasonal flavours and delicacies from producers with provenance! Meals can be taken in the Mill House, a superb space with banqueting table and large woodburner, or outdoors in the shrubbery, depending on the weather.

Here’s what our guests say

“This is a beautiful place and the food was absolutely amazing. We thought of a menu we would like for our 10 year wedding anniversary and Matthew and team delivered what we were hoping for and even more! I am already starting to think about the next dream menu…”

“A slice of rural English paradise, with everything you could want to experience a luxurious stay whilst on a working country farm estate. Beautiful location and caring hosts, would recommend highly for a romantic break.”

Amazing hosts – my wife and I asked if we could take our ten year old and they set up a two man tent in our patio garden just for her with mattress and sleeping bag! The farm sits in the middle of their own hill with sweeping views across Gloucestershire – a safe paradise for dogs and children to roam and play freely – which they encourage. Very relaxed. Our Labrador and child did not want to leave. Incredible English wine and gin cellar that was a surprise – lovely complementaries and touches. We opted for breakfast boxes – all laid out for us in front of a roaring wood stove in this beamed barn opposite. Great food – they obviously care as much about provenance of their food as they do their guests. Magical – a real find – thanks Matthew and team! Recommend the village pub – very short walk away – though next time would try the host’s dinner boxes judging by the breakfast.

We had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Matthew’s place. The Wash House is a charming place for a couple to enjoy a weekend away and is in a great location near Cheltenham, the Cotswolds and the Malvern Hills. The welcome was great and Matthew was always on hand to give us tips and help us with any need. We also had a great breakfast each morning and could choose from a range of options including locally sourced produce. It is also pet friendly and our little dog had a great time! Thoroughly recommended.
